It's hard to tell with the direct overhead view, but I did wonder if it was wheel bug specifically ... when I was kid I was a jerk and had one kept in a jar for awhile .. it must've been a female as eventually there was a second small wheel bug there too
Oh wait, now I see the shadow of the "wheel" off to the side!
I only discovered it after somehow it had stuck my grandmother's finger with that vicious looking thing that extends down below its head to drain its prey
It was a challenge to find prey to feed it with, I doubt i had it very long, I don't remember what ultimately became of it ... most of the time now when I see anything in that same bug family it's one of the less gnarly looking species
