What do you grow in your garden?

I have been reading how good gardening is for us, not only fresh air and fresh food, bees and butterflies (if we are lucky), physical activity and connecting to nature, but for underlying things like stress.
While birds sing, I feel stress shedding off every time I’m out there.🌷🌷🌷🌷 It also works as an antidote to disheartening news reports, I planted some lettuce and spinach to start with as I have never grown my own veg before.

These days, basically weeds. :(

@ChipmunkErnie I'm sorry to hear that. Gardens are so much work as we get older.

@seasonedspirit My wife used to do the actual gardening of vegetables, but her decline into dementia means she hasn't planted anything in years now. Used to have tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. These days I just try to keep the yard clear enough so the town doesn't have a fit and try to fine us.

@ChipmunkErnie Is there some small things you could try growing? You might find enjoy in gardening again and it would be good exercise, nothing strenuous I mean.

@seasonedspirit Some flowers is about it. Mostly I'm trying to cut back on trees and bushes.
