How do you spend time in your garden and do you have any photos to share?
I have had this feeder for three years now and it has suet nibbles and sunflowers seeds and nuts. It's a free standing pole with a heavy stable base, it makes a mess on the ground but thats okay. It's supposed to be squirrel proof but you can try to slow them down but never stop them entirely as they are very, very clever. But who am I to chase such creatures away from my garden, weren't they all here before us?
I like feeding the squirrels 🐿 but I like feeding the birds as well . I have suet for my woodpeckers and nuthatchers . A thistle bag for the finches . I also have one bird feeder with regular seeds and that one so far the squirrels 🐿 haven’t figured out how to get to but it’s fun watching them try.
That is a cool feeder. I don't have too many issues with squirrels as the dog keeps them chased away. But at night the deer and raccoons can be an issue so I have to bring some of them in.
We have a bird feeder hanging off the fig tree closest to the house. We have a lot of trees and raised beds. Planters and pots too. A huge table and 2sheds.
I've 3 raised beds in my front garden, which I grow some easy vegetables in, lettuce toms, sweetcorn etc.. Looking a bit tardy at the moment though, needs more soil, and waiting for weather to become less frosty at night before planting anything outside. Plus apple tree brings me joy, pretty and fruitful.
