More tickseed pictures

These late season flowers are amazing. They've taken over and don't seem to care we're in a mini drought. Some of the stalks are well over 7ft tall.

Tickseed?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@robingoodfellow what does that mean?
@samueltyler2 if you google it says:

Coreopsis is called tickseed because the small, dark seeds of the plant resemble tiny ticks or bedbugs, a similarity that led to the genus's name, Coreopsis, from the Greek words koris ("bedbug") and opsis ("resemblance"). This common name refers to the physical appearance of the seeds, not to the plant attracting pests like ticks to a yard.
