It’s all right. They only feel special when they come from the right person anyway otherwise it feels manipulative in one sense or another.
With John though I do this sentimental thing where whenever he gives me a bouquet of flowers I dry them then save a couple of my favorite blossoms.

One guy over did it once. To the point where I felt mild annoyance to more roses sitting on my doorstep when I’d arrive home.
