Campervan travel in th U.S. part 2 & 3 questions

Q pt 2, if I were traveling with a female companion, does that put us at more risk??

Q pt 3: if that female traveler was with me, would I need to accompany her the whole time or do we feel that our traveling is safe by togetherness.

I’m unsure of the true travelvan culture in the US, but I/we are hoping to travel there for several months.

I will not be able to carry a gun-weapon as per a travel permit as a foreigner.

Thank you for the initial information.

Trucked through 40 of the 48 states. I never had a problem.

We're the US, not the middle east... I think you're buying into all the fake news, stereotypes, etc. about us too much.

Unless you're doing something stupid like trying to pet a wild bison or grizzly bear, it's no more dangerous here than Australia

Many retired folks spend years at a time travelling/hiking around the US. I know many who've hiked/backpacked the entirety of the Appalachian Trail (2,200 miles, 3,540km) alone or tandem

Traveled a lot both personally and for work .. big cities to camping, National Parks, etc over the last 40 years. I was pickpocketed once .. no other instance of crime.

Probably ok, unless you canp in an alley in Chicago or something crazy like that

Don't worry about it. I have actually traveled 40 different states of the USA. With and without any companions. Even lived in Texas and Wyoming each for a few years.
