I went camping over the weekend.

It rained the first night, listening to the rain fall on the tent all night was inexplicably soothing. It felt like I was held by the storm and being given a dry hug by Mother Nature.

It was exactly what I needed.

I used to love camping. We camped in the rain for two weeks, once...but we KNEW it was going to rain, so the ex put up an enormous tarp over the tent and we could actually have a campfire and cook at the picnic table.

@Musicman Yup! We didn't QUITE account for the weight of the rain pooling on the tarp up above us, and once in a while we would have to take the broom handle and PUSH enormous tarp puddles out of the tarp...and THAT was a bit wet-making...but overall it was okay.
