When I post about having been through something
I don't want pity or anyone feeling sorry for me. I'm misunderstood here. Embracing the suck and enduring bad things adds flavor to the meat. Tough times and bad experiences makes a person strong, not victimized. It makes a person tactical and causes them to gain a bag of tricks. It can turn a garbage bag full of yogurt in to a lean cut of savage skill. At that point you can look back and be thankful for tough times and misery. You can find all kinds of ways to avoid trouble and even flame through it with no damages. That's why if I was homeless today I'd just use my skills and be glad to be out of the hamster wheel rather than sitting around with a sign hoping for help. Hunting a squirrel or rabbit is only a crime if someone sees you do it and reports it for example. Don't do it near people. Kill, skin, roast and eat. Making a fire isn't a crime if no one sees the smoke. This is why I said it's best to be far away from people and how they are the enemy. Forget filling jugs in a convenient store. I'd rather make pure clear water through my home made fire powered steam condenser. Guaranteed 100 percent pure clean water every time and just wash out the residuals from the source container. I don't get people and why they insist on valuing laws/ordinances over human survival. But they do. I camp in cool places no one would ever get to. The more treacherous and hard to get to it is the more attractive it is to me. No worries about people coming around to report your survival. Go deep, very deep. That's what the machete and hatchet is for. I've done it, it can be done even today, and every human being has the God given right to exist. Brown tent, brown tarp, some sleeping comfort and shade, a small clean invisible camp = tight. Small low key fires only enough for cooking and warmth is best. Things can be set up in a way for this, and maximum utilization. Blm and national Forest campgrounds are good too - if you don't mind moving around every 2 weeks. Go at least a half mile to hunt. And I only use a high powered pellet rifle and a daisy bb pistol. I have lots of snare wire too. Away from people you can grow dandelions and other edibles but that's better done deep in. People worry about what happens if you get sick but it just doesn't happen. People get sick more in the civilized world.
