Not anymore. I used to go camping with the ex, but it isn't safe for a lone woman to go camping. I still thought I might try it at one time, and sleep on a specially designed air mattress in the back of my car...but I was too chicken to go alone.

I've got the new air mattress...and my original camping air mattress, and the lanterns and my lawn chair, and the ropes and tarps, but had no room to store the coleman stove. I kept the silicone mat that you can place over the grates on campsite campfires, and the long tongs, but I didn't keep the tent, the 5 gallon water container, the sleeping bag or any of the little aluminum pots and pans and coffee maker and the other stuff.

@4meAndyou I accumulate some of this stuff and it goes to the boy if I pass on without using it. He could make good use of it after he learns to drive and do buddy stuff like camping with some of his friends he met at the private school. They would love that I am sure.

@4meAndyou I’ve kind of done the same, although I’m not concerned about it, it just doesn’t seem fun now. I had a small RV for a while but even that just wasn’t fun. If I want quiet, I’d rather rent a small cabin in the woods.

@joe438 I would love a nice setup in a Camper van for road trips and to also rent a cabin in the right settings when I felt the urge to do so. Just seems like a great combo and a way to take a relaxing road trip.

@cherokeepatti It was a Roadtrek based on a Dodge van. It was fun to drive and when it was time to sleep you just went into the back and slept. I didn’t use it as much as I thought I would and ended up donating it.

@joe438 The cabin sounds like a plan for me. I used to love going to Mohawk trail state park with the ex, and they have cabins there!
