Four seasons in one day

We woke up this morning shivering. The weather has alternated for most of the day between very heavy showers and bright sunshine, really quite warm at times. With 55 mph gusting wind for good measure.

My daughter came home from school a couple of hours ago, soaked to the skin during her short walk. I hung her school skirt and blazer out on the line and they are already bone dry.

Which is more than can be said for her hair. She resembles an Old English Sheepdog right now 🤣

A not untypical Autumnal day, but perhaps a month early. I'm hoping my rubbish doesn't get blown across the town before the bin collection tomorrow (if they turn up 🙄).

I was working cutting hedges and apart from the wind it was a nice day. Then it went black and down came the rain. Had to clear up all the rubbish by the time i finished i was soaked

@ninalanyon I appreciate your concern and as I'm still learning the ropes I don't claim to be perfect.

I'm fastidious about social media and this is as big a footprint as I will ever leave (I don't do any of the mainstream stuff and use this mostly to whole away the hours between bouts of insomnia and taxi duties).

I try to paint as affectionate and positive a portrait as I can, to share some of my admiration and happiness. We use the same tone and humour in our real lives and there is nothing I write about her here that I would not show her or explain to her.
