Barefoot, too!! With those sharp spiky bits of dried cut off hay! My mother used to do something similar...but the hay was baled up when she loaded it onto the truck. She said that ONE time, the hay baler had caught up a snake, and the snake was NOT happy!

THAT is real hard work.
