Hitting a nerve

I live out in a rual area and am super familiar with the existence of commercial chicken farm buildings that cram hundreds of thousand of hens in enclosed metal pens that stink for miles ..

Only the other day i drew up a rough draft of a new kind of pen one that was 3/4 covered with a corner for the chickens to roam “outdoors” in the grass and sun (covered in fence wire to contain the chickens and keep out other predator animals)

But at least they can get some sun and rain and bugs and whatever.. have a bit of a type of normal life while in commercial captivity..

I also have a thing against masses of cows being kept in mud pens long term but that’s another issue 🤐 x sq of grass per cow minimum roaming space per x amount of time methinks should be required for commercial enterprises 😒 sigh
