Holy hemp !! I have known for decades what a versatile crop hemp can be. I even did a report on it in and it's wide variety of uses in college. But they have really been expanding and developing the uses of the hemp plant to am amazing level. Hempcrete , light weight durable cement replacement. Can be used to cast in forms, extruded brick and block, roof tiles, etc. it can also be processed to make insulation rolled batting, blown in, and sheeting. It can be pressed into hemp board, of different densities like fiber board for casting in molds, pressed into large sheets for sheathing of various types.
Can be processed into fine cloth products as fine as silks, suede, as well as denims and other grades of fabric.
It produces 4 times the amount of paper per acre than timber or wood products.
Processed as a bio fuel that can be used in internal combustion engines.
Can be used as animal feed, as well as fertilizer and soil binder and enrichment.
Not to mention all of the other medical and health care products. Food and cooking products, cosmetics, and on and on.
America needs to educate the DEA and government about all the benefits and uses of industrial hemp and the potential monetary ,financial and employment possibilities. Industrial hemp doesn't even contain enough THC to have any psychoactive drug affects. It definitely has the potential of becoming a big economical , agricultural and industrial boost to an ailing American economy .
America is the largest importer of hemp products in the world. Let's keep that money at home.
