I Live On a Farm

I live on a sheep farm. It's up in the hills. I love the journey home in the school bus. It takes about twenty minutes. Every day the hills and mountains look different. I live about three km from the bus stop. The roadside is full of bluebells and red campions and the honeysuckle is growing fast.
Life on a sheep farm is controlled by the calendar! Lambing has finished. The lambs are growing so it's quite quiet right now. The next big event is shearing. The last week in May. It's half term. My job is cooking. Even though I know how to shear! But I'm a girl. So I cook!

Yes. I wouldn't want a different life. There are sad things like sheep getting ill. So it isn't always wonderful.

You write beautiful descriptions it makes me feel like I'm there.i too live on a farm but after dad died mum had about 60 percent planted with trees as it was the only way at the time she could carry on and manage us fully as well.
