My Morning Walk in the Sun

Suddenly Spring is all over the place. You can't see the rather chilly wind, but out of the shade, it's beautifully warm...in a British sort of way.

It was a lovely weekend

@Jacko1971 This was an hour ago - 11:15 on 29th April. But yes, it was really sunny for most of the weekend here too. 😀

Similar here, minus the palm trees. Brilliant sunshine but it's only 9 C so the apparent temperature changes dramatically as you go in and out of the shade! Still it's barefoot and miniskirt weather.

@ninalanyon Whenever I've been to northern Scandinavia, I've noticed even in midsummer there is that noticeable contrast between shade and sunshine. Now you have mentioned it, I think today is very reminiscent of visits to Norrland, Sweden and Narvik area, Norway.

@FreddieUK Well you chose the right places for that! Narvik is further from me than I am from the UK!

It's not so extreme down here south of Oslo. But the temperature does drop rapidly on summer days when the sun goes below the horizon. Unfortunately the sight line to the horizon isn't always horizontal and there are lots of places where despite it not getting dark for more than an hour or two the sun disappears behind a hill by 20:00.

@ninalanyon The only time I was in Oslo it was in the high 20sC and quite atypical, I think. Everywhere else was much cooler. Fantastic country though. I can understand why you want to live there.
