Why would you want your spurs to jingle jangle?

Warns the people that you are getting close to them. Spurs just naturally jingle-jangle. There was a cowboy that used to come into Walmart when I worked there, could tell it was him. He never took his spurs off. I had to wonder what kind of cowboy even does that. Spurs are for riding horses, not pushing a cart in a Walmart store.
