Went for a hike in the wooda and found a birch tree with chaga growing on it. Collected over 5 lbs of it. Can get $8 a pound in Remer for it. Showed it to them and they verified it as good. Having some in tea now.
@Tastyfrzz oh, and up to 2 or 3 cups a day of the stuff never left me feeling nauseous none....again, 'standardized' being what u make of such forest-gathered homebrews.
btw, the actual spore-bearing fungal body formenting inside the birch (responsible for the extruded 'chaga', as harvested) is akin to this in resemblance once mature enough to literally blow open the outer cambium trunk of its host:
