Sage’s Escape #8
Final day of my hiatus as I head home in the morning. Preparing for the Summer Solstice by doing my version of purification rituals. Early this morning at the lake I performed my own version of a Mikvah, a practice that was borrowed from Jewish tradition. In my case a submersion in fresh water to wash away the harshness of winter.
Then tonight I burnt bundles of sage in the fire and bathed skyclad in the smoke. The intention is to return to my usual life with confidence, a purpose and most of all to find happiness.
