They’ll attack sometimes, stay back from him. There was a turkey chasing and trying to attack school children walking on a sidewalk to school and adults too if they were walking in that area in Moore, Oklahoma last year. I got attacked by a turkey when I was 2 years old and it was on a farm that my father was buying eggs from.
@cherokeepatti yes this guy watched me come out back and was not sure what to do, he was watching me through a tree, and I did what I needed out back for five minutes and luckily they stayed away. I had one on my doorstep years ago it wouldn't let me out!!! Very aggressive ughh
@Coralmist we had free range turkeys on the farm. Yes the toms did get aggressive at times. If they came at me I would grab them by the neck and try to hold on as they jumped and twisted trying to escape. My favourite pastime when they were strutting was to grab a handful of tail feathers and let them pull me across the yard. Fun times with turkeys.
