Rocky Mountain Elk

Today while we were out we saw a herd of about 20-30 elk. All cows and last years calves.

Nice shots! I worked outside of Denver a couple of years, and there were lots of mornings when I would have to wait for the elk herd to cross the road before I could enter the facility parking lot.

@exexec that happened a lot in Montana where I grew up. Once they were done the road looked like a rototiller was taken to it lol.
