There are both trees and vines. That picture is a tree. Large trunk. Still climbs like a vine. The vines will never have a trunk that big and will literally spread and climb everywhere. Too much so. Like a trumpet vine.

@gregloa lol... This is getting serious... When i googled it is a tree or a vine it said in several places it's a vine... Obviously more research is required🤗

@Convivial Maybe it's both? Maybe wisteria is the name of both the vine and the tree that it can grow on?
