The summer of 1989

. My Dad worked on the fire lookout tower atop Black Mountain. I stayed there with him for a month or so. He had me help to paint all the railings. My last task was to paint the radio antenna. Right after this picture a fighter jet flew right over my head, and I was hanging onto the antenna for dear life.

That's an awesome shot to have. Very cool. As is staying in a fire lookout for a month with your Dad. Out of curiosity, is that fire lookout in the San Jacintos? I live in the next range over and I know there's a Black Mountain Lookout there. Wherever it was, a great way to spend a month.

Could you feel the wind from it

@Lilnonames blew me off my feet. I really was hanging on there. Couldn't hear for about ten minutes. When I could my Dad was still cussing out the Air Force over the radio.
