I have a journey of suffering to embark on soon.

It's like meeting with a higher power. I'm going to fast for three days, take the necessities, drive two hours to the the land where my ancestors once lived, climb the highest hill, and when I'm at the top...I will sit for however long it will take me until I find what I'm looking for.

May i only ask that you not fast for too long as a hike on no food can easily turn bad you know!

@WolfGirlwh0r3 I understand. Tradition calls for four days but I'm doing three. Leading up to the fast I'll be sure to eat a variety. Also, if it's any peace of mind, once I'm done and can get off that hill, I'll have juice and jerky on me and can eat again thereafter. 👍

@RedGrizzly That makes me feel much better, and i am so in awe of you doing as your ancestors and paying honor to tradition and what is sacred!

@WolfGirlwh0r3 Thank you. I haven't done anything like this in a few years, I don't even remember if anything came of it last time. Even so, for whatever reason I'm feeling called to it again...but doing things more traditionally the way my ancestors would've done.
To clarify, I'm white and Lakota. This trip is extremely important because it's consisting of performing three rites.
