Did you ever see or grow a radish this large.. Grown organically 😀

@Pretzel I cannot remember the name of it but they're one of those exotic kinds. Extremely delicious and not dry, always somewhat juicy.

@Pretzel Depends on the variety, and the circumstances of its growth. They tend to get hotter, if they’ve been attacked a little bit by biting insects they make themselves hotter to resist it

@lost213 Oh my! I guess you have to be happy with what you have, right even if you didn't get much garden produce this year. That's funny about the late bloomers. LOL

Our tomatoes are in abundance, l've made up salsa, tomato jam, jelly, sauces, and exotic marmalade with them, which tastes amazing. ☺️

@metaldog That variety has red centres and they're juicy with a sweet taste. You should, l think you might be surprised. 😊

@Quimliqer Yes it was very woody inside not at the ends though, towards the centre.

@SatyrService That's very true, it was quite heavy as well. Wish it had of been edible, just grew too large to eat. Definitely a conversation piece though..

@sensualbeauty1 I can suggest ways to eat it. Slice it up thin and pickle it. Or roast it slowly in And oven
Say about 400° kinda like her cooking a potato
Also radish Can be grated like carrots useful and salads and on sandwiches

@SatyrService Thanks for the advice and cooking tips. I've used them in a stir fry and other dishes, although l've never tried them in the oven, sounds interesting. Something to think about for next year's growing season.

@ShaneMckay Very surprised at its size, thought it was pretty interesting to see how large a radish could actually grow.

@Livingwell Yes it was a beauty but unfortunately hollow so not really edible. It was hidden so picked to late. 🙄

@Coldplay It was a huge radish well hidden so it kept growing. Our potatoes are the same although Kenabecs are like that.
