Edit: it’s also a federal criminal act and will get you arrested and typically banned from the park… so if you see a ranger in your landing zone don’t forget to run the other way after touchdown. And no I haven’t done it… in Yosemite because I would never admit to criminal behavior on the internet… 😉

@tindrummer I’m so so if asked. In reality I’m just trying to find a reasonable excuse to continue living my “life” even though I’m convinced it’s a pointless miserable existence, but I don’t want to admit that to anyone else, whoops… lol

Taft Point and Profile Rock have been used by many for more than just pictures
On May 16, 2015 Dean Potter and Graham Hunt died while BASE jumping from Taft Point. They were attempting a proximity wingsuit flight through a notch in a neighboring cliff known as "Lost Brother". Hunt struck a wall on the far side of the notch, while Potter cleared the notch and struck rocks immediately beyond. Both were killed on impact.-Wikipedia
