Rocks and minerals are used in almost anything. These crystals used to be mined and crushed up by the tons. Mostly found in dry arid regions. Ive found them in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and Utah. Can you guess what they are and what in your house has this mineral
Selenite! Is that the one that dissolves? I found some in Texas! Much smaller pieces though!

I have so many different things I’ve collected in my travels! I appreciate your help 😆

@BrokenAbyss That is selenite. Dissolves in hot water a tiny bit. Can feel it turn slippery. Once I hit some crystals with a steam wand at work. That isnt a good way to clean them believe me.
@icedsky did they disappear?
icedsky · 51-55, M
@BrokenAbyss melted them like ice cubes

Do you think they really have healing powers

@icedsky well same I'm open to the idea, Celestine has calmed my stress and relieved my sense of anxiety and lessen headaches without me even giving it any power or before I knew they were used like that, so yeah I kinda belief a bit

That's talc. Crushed up, it makes talcum powder. Unfortunately companies crushing the talc often mixed it by accident with toxic minerals, and women who used it for personal hygiene on a daily basis got cancer.

These days we used cornstarch based powders for babies, and to stay dry.

@4meAndyou Its Selenite. Gypsum. Sheetrock and drywall

@icedsky Wow. I looked at photos and cheated and everything and still got it wrong...🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou Talc does look similar when its crystals. Ive never seen any larger ones always small blade shaped masses. Only been in a couple talc mines down in California years ago. Unstable soft hazardous prospects. Didnt stick around in them too long.
