Gotta share my herbs, they aren't ready for harvest yet. In the back, St Johns Wort, then the Ginger and in front the Turmeric. I am about to harvest the thyme, basil, sage and rosemary.

Hi I use a trug or raised vegetable planter. Gives you space without taking up to much room, but looking good.
@SW-User I've been researching how to improve the soil here. And a few things grows great in sandy soil. Im not new to gardening and growing my veggies... I come from the river bottoms which has loamy rich soil compared to this sandy mountain soil. Plus...raised beds are easier on my knees and back.....lol

@ShadowWorker know how you feel there in one week got to dig the e allotments over and muck spread as well. My back is going to be killing me lol
@ShadowWorker i use empty lick tubs they are like 20 gallons big. lots of ranchers around her and lots of empty tubs to be had..

just drill a few holes and when garden is done move them out of the way also using half dirt and half potting soil to start them after that just fertilizer
@ShadowWorker free is good .. also did on my brick patio . loose bricks i just took out two where i wanted the zucchini and when done pull the plants and put the brick back.. first year doing that so will see soon how that works.. lots of zucchini and what i dont eat i give away its good will for those i care about..
