why do we call them electric vehicles? EV

when they run on batteries..
charged by coal fired power stations.

have we become so dumb and unquestioning?.

Well i have a hybrid and if a car is electric it doesn't go around polluting the streets with toxic smoke which is important in high density populated areas ..

@YoMomma right the poison smoke your hybrid emits comes from the factory that provides the electricity to charge the batteries. Then you must despose of that battery inturn useing more power plus the toxins used to make that battery are released back into the environment broken down into power seeping into the water and everything else.
