My dad did his naval training in Plymouth and was based for most of his career in Devonport. You can see Drakes Island in picture 3 where he amd some of his friends once marooned a Royal Marine who got a bit above himself 🙂

That's the first time I've seen a 'virtual' roundabout (last photo) - one you could drive straight over. Nothing to stop you doing that except painted lines & arrows and common-sense driving. I like it!

In British naval history, Plymouth Hoe has a prominent place.
