Ouch! That stings!

I was sitting on my porch resting and drinking a bottle of water. A yellow jacket popped me right in the bend of my arm. That sure wasn't nice of all things! So I'm afraid it and its whole family had to die!

Had one crawl under the leg of my loose seersucker Capris the other day. I kept feeling a prickly feeling and reached around to see what was there. Finally went into the house and took off my capris and there was a yellow jacket. It didn’t fly around so maybe I squeezed it. Sprayed it and killed it.There was a red spot on the back of my leg, I think some venom dripped on it without the yellow jacket stinging me.

@cherokeepatti Usually the sting goes away in minutes but their aggressive attacking for no reason gets me upset! I'm glad you weren't harmed,

@Coletracer I got stung 13 years ago and my arm throbbed for days

@cherokeepatti A hornet got me last year and that hurt for a few days, but for me, yellow jackets sting goes away pretty quick. Hurts though.

@Coletracer I stepped on a hornet and got stung and came inside and put vinegar on the sting and it didn’t hurt after that

@cherokeepatti when bees or wasps end up indoors they are basically lost. I do not know if it is because they do not see well or what.

That is likely why it did not fly around.

I had some kind of wasp get in the house the other day and all it did was fly and park at the overhead light in the living room.
