Friday’s people coping skill.

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I got angry one time at my ex and to work it out I started walking, walked 2 miles to get a Sunday newspaper because he had my car. I came back to the house feeling like I could kick ass. It started me on a walking hobby in my spare time for a couple of years.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON there are some people wandering around here that have caused my neighbor to stop walking so much. Homeless or transients and they’ll yell to try to get attention or whatever and all she wants to do is walk. She’s a large woman, like way over 6 feet tall and she has gotten spooked by two incidents. One at the park about 6 blocks from here, not many people go there and it backs up to woods….I got spooked about 4 years ago and stopped walking there or to that street (get the feeling someone is watching us) and another time a guy got mad at her for continuing to walk and started cussing her out. It used to not be like this.
@cherokeepatti Oh, I am sorry. I'd be freaked out and scared.

Is there any other place you can, say, drive to and then walk?

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON probably, I like to be close to a restroom when I carry water to drink, wasn’t a problem when I was younger but as I got older it was. Sometimes me and the boy will walk in circles around the block, 3 times equals a mile and I’m never more than 2 blocks away from home so it’s not a problem. If I walk in cooler weather it’s not too bad either.

@SW-User In my case life is getting in the way. I’m just trying to provide some inspiration.
@SW-User My 'high' is cycling in nature :)

Did you get to that hike?
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Mindfulness Very true!

@poetryandwine That’s my way of looking at it!
