@whowasthatmaskedman About time and all. Laid up for at least 10 weeks.
Able to get around now. Stopped using the crutches about 3 weeks ago.
Ankle still fragile but as long as I am careful, I should be okay.
Going back to the Surgeon tomorrow for a 6 week follow up consultation.

@MrAboo No. Sweetgums are not related to these gum trees.
These Gum Trees exude a gummy resin when the trunk is damaged, branch falls off etc.

@Gusman is the resin chewable like gum?

@MrAboo Some Gum tree resin is edible. Mostly used for medicinal purposes
