Does winter make you feel gloomy?

I love this time of year when it's cold and dark and wet outside and the rain is pouring down into the lake. I need a rain coat and wellies to walk along the water. It's good to be alone with the rain and the snow. Evenings are very long and I can watch full-length records of Baroque operas while drinking some Amarone. Time to read the Iliad again, with dreams of being Chryseis.
