Australia is blessed with such variety when it comes to plants
One of my favourites is the Grass Tree - Xanthorrhoea Grass Trees, formerly known as Blackboys,(no longer politically correct) can live for 600 years and are among the oldest living plants on the planet. There are 66 species of grass tree and they are only found in Australia. Grass Trees have a growth rate of 1/4" a year Xanthorrhoea Australis with Springtime Flowering Spikes
The Spike can reach a height of 4.5 metres/15 feet, and have up to 10,000 flowers per spike. Close up of flowers
Birds and other flying critters love to feed on the nectar (Not My Pictures) Rosella Parrot
Blue Tiger Butterflies

Eastern Pygmy Possum
After the flowers have been Bee Pollinated they "Set Seed"
All Grass Trees growing in the wild have blackened stumps because bushfires have ravaged the area.

If a fire has not ravaged the area for many years, Grass Trees retain their "Skirt" - Old leaves hanging down, forming a Skirt.
@RadiantRuby It snows plenty in Australia. In the Winter. Though it snowed last week in Tasmania. Very rare for it to snow at the end of the first month of Spring
