Went for a run with my little group of run buddies yesterday. My original run buddy from a decade ago came along. We finish our run back at the car park. Her husband is there with their 5 year old. My bf is walking over with his boy as we were all going for after run coffee and cake!
I then thought "Oh shit". My bf is Jewish, well not exactly as his mum isn't Jewish (some Jewish dude can explain that one to you). My friend's husband is Iranian. His parents came to Europe during the Islamic revolution as they worked for the Shah.
They walk up to each other smile that embarrassed I'm me at this moment smile. Then one stepped towards the other and they are embracing saying to each other "I'm so sorry for all the shit man".
I later heard over coffee the Iranian ask if my bfs cousins in Israel are all right. He hasn't got any relatives he's in contact with in Iran now.
Why aren't these two in charge and embracing not the power mad fuckwits currently swinging their dicks about?
