Mental health question

Do your current circumstances impact on your mental health?

My mental health has always been spikey…I’m fairly sure enough people on here have seen me have real low points. Recently I’ve been in a much better place.

Today my mental health has just crashed, rock bottom. I’m not sure if my injury and inability to get out and run, plus the constant pain and lack of independence is what has pushed it. Or if it’s the fact whenever I’m ill or injured I want my mum. I am just not sure if it’s coincidence, or if it’s a direct result of what has happened this week.

The concern I have if it is a result of circumstances am I to expect this every time something in life goes wrong?

*feeling shit so a bit of a rant, I’m not expectant real answers on this*

Yes, it's extremely normal to feel depressed when life circumstances change. Exercise & access to nature are especially, demonstrably important for mental health too. I don't really no how that plays into your family situation though, you'd have to ask someone more knowledgeable.

Hell though, I feel noticeably more depressed in the winters and when I'm staying back home with my family. Can't imagine what you must be experiencing right now. :(
