Canadians, USA, North Americans, Mexicans, South Americans, and Central Americans. Are they all Americans? If not, Why not?

Only US citizens are called Americans because the USA is the most relevant country. South and Central America don't matter as much. Canada is not good enough to be included with the USA. And they all count on the fact that they are fortunate enough to be adjacent to the USA
