First of all the movies were made in the '70s and during the 70s yes there was a lot of racism especially in the Italian mafia community they have never got along well with the brothers and the brothers have never liked the Italians so making a movie authentic doesn't make it racist

The movie was made in the 70s about an Italian mafia family.
The story is what it is.
You either watch it and get into the story line or not.

Because they're good movies.

John Wayne wasn't in them.

It was about some bad guys. So they said and did bad things.
