As a Native American .. alcohol is in my blood .. it’s hard.. it’s hard fighting biology ..

Being Irish I am just gonna sit this conversation out

Its a genetic thing, its a high-strung kind of thing, its a tranquilizer and the way people act naturally, they need it more or less accordingly. We also have national foods and favorite herbs for neutralizing local odors....

Excess of anything is another issue of course...

Sorry man, it's a major problem, what i found helped was a book by Craig Beck called Alcohol Lied To Me, he tells it as it is, that it's poison, actual poison, and how it's marketed, and made to be such a glamorous thing, when it's just poison dressed up fancy. Giving it up was then easy for me, it was effecting my quality of life, so it could have been the right time. Quitting can be easy in Craig's hands. HOWEVER i ended up being an edible junkie so there's that too. All the best, and if push comes to shove just enjoy the ride, life is too short for struggles like this, if it's not effecting your life in a negative way, in a way that is malleable, then enjoy the ride, just don't BE driving.

Bruh i understand this so much. My uncle is almost a full blooded incan of peru. One of the kindest man you will ever meet. He cared about me so much. However the moment he touches alcohol he changes into another person. He beat up my aunt once and we had to cut him off. It was one of the most hardest things we had to do because he was just so kind but alcoholism ruined him. I have only have like 7 percent native blood so that gene skipped me but i have seen what alcoholism does to those of native heritage from Canada to peru. It's always heartbreaking man.
