American Patriotism Is On Life Support. Let’s Revive It Again

Today, displaying the flag makes you a right-wing extremist, white supremacist, or any number of false stereotypes. Why is that?

I love America, our flag our patriotic music, parades, fireworks, bar-b-ques, the whole shebang.

I don’t think that at all, but i do take exception to anyone who feels that being into what you describe is the ONLY way to show patriotism, if that makes sense? Some people aren't demonstrative but still love our great country.

@Corporalcolleague Put the bubbles away Corp - no one is asking you to do anything.
You are welcome to snuggle safely under the blanket of freedom that America provides
and never express any gratitude what so ever to those that made it possible.

@Budwick wait a minute...are you questioning the patriotism of someone who doesn’t wave a flag around crowing about 'Merica? If so you have a very narrow view and really have no clue about mainstream America and true patriotism. I don’t begrudge you the things that push your buttons, if it makes you warm and fuzzy, that's great and more power to you. I would suggest that those who love their country with less outward display, don’t love their country less.

@Budwick Jesus H. Christ, you literally called an individual currently serving in the military a "fruit salad" - then you talk about expressing gratitude to those making freedom possible. Are you mentally ill?

@Corporalcolleague I did nothing to question your patriotism
Maybe it's some guilt feelings over what you said.
