American in the UK

So im doing a thanksgiving dinner. It just feels strange to have thanksgiving every year and it be a massive holiday and then just not do it ever again. Last year i spent it in Liverpool as it was a but depressing not to have it with my family back home so i wanted a distraction but this year since now having my daughter also, i decided to keep the tradition alive and im making a thanksgiving dinner for us and my inlaws.

Theyre super excited because they only know thanksgiving as they see it on tv. I told them im not going crazy just doing the traditional things like the turkey, mash potatoes, gravy, dressing/stuffing, green bean casserole and a pumpkin pie and apple pie. Some roast veg.

I never made so much from scratch though. I usually just buy the pies 🥧 but you cant buy a pumpkin pie in the uk, not any ive seen. Cant even find the canned pumpkin pie filling. Gotta look for sugar pumpkins.

Anyways i hope i nail it. Much pressure when im use to my mom doing all the cooking.

They sell the pumpkin pie filling in Waitrose. Your other half and in laws can help with the food prep?
