Colonialism spread language culture and religion. These forces unite the world and make the world better today.
@Muthafukajones You left out the part about forcing people to work and pay taxes and taking resources from their land.

@RocktheHouse the benefits of colonialism are obvious in English which is becoming the worlds first global language. Everyone wants to learn it. Nobody is forcing that.
@Muthafukajones You're really funny.
@Muthafukajones you can visit, learn the language and intermarry without colonizing. Just saying.
@Muthafukajones first you shoot Hawaiian people from horseback to stop them speaking Hawaiian, then claim nobody is making them speak English.

@Roundandroundwego I said nothing about Hawaii.

I do believe that the Hawaiians killed Captain Cook in an unprovoked attack though.
@Muthafukajones all colonization was about the same - Lord Jeffrey Amherst shot Indians from horseback and making English the only language actually happened in the USA.

@Roundandroundwego The United States has no official language. Your examples are highly specific to the United States. Your bias is obvious. Consider colonization on the global scale and open your mind to the modern repercussions of colonization. It was both a good and a bad thing. Consider the issue more fully.
