Do you think landline wall jacks are necessary today?

We’re repainting a bedroom and I told my wife we should remove it and cover the hole. We haven’t used a landline in almost 7 years.

I still use mine. I even still use fax machines.

@Atlotto i scan and send attachments, haven't sent a fax in many years. I actually have a plain old telephne line, POTS, which came in handy when all power was lost and the VOIP went down.
