A powerful clip from the show "Black-ish"…

That actually made me tear up, in large part because of where we are now.

@OlderSometimesWiser I want to believe tomorrow will be better... now I think that hope has died for the foreseeable future.
@OlderSometimesWiser @Ontheroad As much as I miss my mother, I’m comforted that she didn’t get to see how much the country’s going backwards. She would be so disappointed. 😞

@bijouxbroussard It's sad beyond words, but I hold on to the knowledge that so many of us have changed, learned, and become more accepting and inclusive, and will forever be here to fight those who want to drag us down and back.
Gosh.. That's hard to watch, so relevant but.. It's literally what's happening 😭

Powerful, indeed. I know I can't really "walk in the shoes" of those who are black, but I can say that I too, was terrified that someone would kill Obama. From the time he was known as a candidate for president until he left the White House, I worried for him.
@Piper And he had so many problems with his secret service detail, from close calls when people got into the White House to one of the staff "joking" about shooting Mrs.Obama (he was dismissed, and should’ve gone to jail but didn’t).

Wow! Thank you for this that was deep. I needed to see that

I was too young when he was elected so I don't remember much but I can just imagine how huge of a thing it must've been when Obama was inaugurated
