The Trumpsters are crowing about "overwhelming African American support"…

And this time that translated to 21% of black men’s votes
And 7% of black women’s votes

But the majority of us are still not Donald Trump’s "African Americans", and I’m proud of us for that.

The next four years will be interesting, but as usual

We shall overcome.

Hello my dear,

It's great to see you're still on here. I've been preoccupied for some time and finally found our site again! Hope you're doing well and hope to hear from you!

@wanderingelf Hi ! It’s really good to see you. I hope you’ve been well. I’m hanging in there; my brother has been staying with me while he recovers from an illness.
So that’s challenging for both of us, but I’m glad I can help him. Gawd, Trump’s a disaster ! Would you have predicted he’d get back in ? I thought we had more sense…

@bijouxbroussard Yeah, we really got hit with a bullet out of left field - - Joe Biden's sudden onset of rapid aging! James Carville was saying since that disastrous debate performance that the Dems needed to run a mini primary, with debates on tv every night for weeks leading up to the convention. That would have captured the country's attention and given real legitimacy to the winner. But the DNC is craven and insane, and yet again do not grasp what we're all up against. So they simply ordained Kamala. And don't get me wrong, I've been a Kamala supporter for a while, but it left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. You can argue that she was in fact elected VP of the US, and with Biden unable to continue, it was appropriate for her to step in. But the masses don't get nuance like that - - all they knew was that nobody voted for her to be the nominee, and I think that hurt her around the margins. And of course with the country as polarized as it is, no one can afford to lose around the margins. So we got the horror show we have now, every bit as disastrous as we were all saying it would be. Even now, the DNC is still pushing these AIPAC money swilling DINO's, and trying to whitewash Israel's war crimes. But I digress, lol. Glad I got back on here, and you're still around! My sons are now 19 and 23, and they're both working. They still live with me, and we have 8 cats here! We had 4, and our beautiful orange tiger boy Merlin died of cancer a couple of months ago. But I had already added a stray mama kitty and 4 babies to the mix. We're working on integrating them in with our other 3, and I know from experience it will be OK eventually. No regrets, we all love them to pieces. Anyway, great to hear from you! Let's just keep rolling!
