I Am African American

This country(America) talks about equality and freedom for ALL. I can’t help but notice that my rights, and the rights of other African Americans, are denied, when we voice our feelings. In a peaceful and respectful protest, for example. Taking a knee during the national anthem, is not disrespecting the flag. It has nothing to do with the flag. This is something that we can not stress enough. You might have people so caught up on their beliefs, and that’s fine, I suppose. But if someone knows the entire history and the truth behind it all, would they at least try to understand? Would they change their beliefs? Or would they just not care at all?

It absolutely IS disrespectful to "take a knee" during the National Anthem. Read the rules for respect to the National Anthem of the United States. Evidently you missed that class in school. civics class.. No matter your agenda, disrespecting my flag is a disgusting thing to do.. So if you really think this country is so against African americans. Pack your stuff and go back to where your DNA says your line came from... See how much you enjoy living there...

@Master1A do you follow the flag codes? I learned the flag codes when I was in school.
