I Am African American

This country(America) talks about equality and freedom for ALL. I can’t help but notice that my rights, and the rights of other African Americans, are denied, when we voice our feelings. In a peaceful and respectful protest, for example. Taking a knee during the national anthem, is not disrespecting the flag. It has nothing to do with the flag. This is something that we can not stress enough. You might have people so caught up on their beliefs, and that’s fine, I suppose. But if someone knows the entire history and the truth behind it all, would they at least try to understand? Would they change their beliefs? Or would they just not care at all?
I see responses already twisting the truth on what it is all about.
Trump wants to insert himself right in the middle of everything because everything has to be about him.
People need to support BlackLivesMatter as an institution and a voice for those who are not heard from and have their constitutional civil rights ignored by our justice system. Time to wake up everyone "AllLivesMatter" does not exist and shouldn't exist. It is pure propaganda generated by the White Nationalists in the US.

I don't believe in black lives mater or white lives or anything other race. I believe in all lives matter. To me we all should be equal and we all should be treated the same. I want to see world peace. Color is just color and really we all the same so I do agree with everyone should have same rights. I like everyone and every race. We all people and we all have feelings.
VioletDreams · 36-40, F
@Rasengan101 i agree with you but just because you feel this way doesnt mean racism suddenly disappears. Youre just trying to distant yourself from the situation because the problem doesnt affect you directly. But people are experiencing racism and prejudice in many ways and we should ALWAYS do what is needed to fight against that. The flag should represent a great country. By taking a knee i think we're expressing that there is a problem in this country and its a problem that needs to be addressed instead of using this reverse psychology that by doing so we disrespect America. Thats the enemy flipping the problem. Dont fall for it. Always care.
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
@VioletDreams I agree.
Rasengan101 · 31-35, M
@VioletDreams I wasn't flopping it. If I was apart of the gov or president I would change things for the better. Equal rights would be made. But me standing alone against all odd is all I can do. And for the record im not white or black or Asian or anything im just human that cares about everyone the same. Im not racist im not a hater. Do I make mistakes yes but who don't. Sometimes just care for others is better then trying to prove a point. And yes ALL LIVES MATTER not just one.

It absolutely IS disrespectful to "take a knee" during the National Anthem. Read the rules for respect to the National Anthem of the United States. Evidently you missed that class in school. civics class.. No matter your agenda, disrespecting my flag is a disgusting thing to do.. So if you really think this country is so against African americans. Pack your stuff and go back to where your DNA says your line came from... See how much you enjoy living there...
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
@Master1A do you follow the flag codes? I learned the flag codes when I was in school.

@imLobo thank you. Yes! That is what I’m saying. The fact that nobody, even myself didn’t know this, but I know it now. Which brings me back to the questions, at the end of my post? It’s something that I’ve been thinking about for a long time. And wondered if anyone else felt the same way.

NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955 I’m not even talking about this site. You are way off topic.

@Fishing65 I agree. and they should be shipped overseas and shoulder a pack in the afgan desert and left those towel heads shoot at them for a while. THen we'd see how really tough they aren't.
Ccrider63 · 70-79, M
Agree, but look at the people that refuse to understand, wouldn’t want them as friends anyway.
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
And they wouldn’t be. @Ccrider63
