Americans, do you use wash lines at all? Or only tumble driers?

I understand people who live in apartments and when the weather is crazy not using washing lines, but what about the rest?

I have both. I only use the line in the summer when it's nice and the air smells clean.

I have a drying rack in my basement with my dryer and use that to dry stuff you can't dry in the dryer.

@InterdimensionalSideEye You live in an extremely dry climate, I don't blame you. When I lived out west, everybody used line drying because it was so windy there.

@SumKindaMunster I can’t imagine what our electricity bill would be is we used the dryer exclusively. It’s already through the roof.

@InterdimensionalSideEye Yup. They just raised our electricity rates at the other house. The last electric bill was quadruple the previous one.
