Pretty accurate i think.
Again, i don't think it's Trump per se it's more to do with the extremes of candidate that winds itself into the position of even being considered as THE representative of a people.
And America has a long history of that

Money buys position and power it's true.
But it's the underlying stuff that's concerning.
By your rationale you can be the worst possible candidate.....providing you can raise more funding as you go campaigning.
And that will be enough to secure your parties support
