In theory yes, and also in theory a FLAC can sound better than any CD. Modern amps with more detail often reveal more than their tube counterparts, but it depends on what you define as natural. I think some make the mistake because it's analog it's the closest we have to a live recording and being in the room with the musician. It's all transcribed, a piece of tape, or vinyl with etchings holding musical notes is also transcribing. I know with my Cambridge Audio amp if I place a record on my record player I hear the weaknesses of the vinyl recording, where if I play a lossless digital recording I hear every detail.
